Abstract
Summary In our study we researched the etiology of urticaria by means of history..physical examination and laboratory findings in a group of a hundred patients with urticaria who are admitted to the Dermatology department of Medical Faculty at Atatürk University, between the years 1 Feb. 1993-1 May 1994. We found at least an etiological factor, at 50 percent of patients with acute urticaria and at 77 percent of patients with chronic urticaria, infections were seemed to be responsible for 15 perent of patients with acute urticaria while hepatitis B infection was also thought for 15 percent of acute urticaria patients. For 15.38 percent of acute urticaria there were more than one responsible factor. Gastrointestinal parasites and physical factors were rare, infections were responsible at 31,25 percent of patients with chronic urticaria while hepatitis B infection was responsible for 16,66 percent of chronic urticaria patients. For nearly 23 percent of patients with chronic urticaria there were more than one responsible factor. We thought foods and drugs as triggering factors with percentages in order % 4 and % 8. Neurotic personality was the most common triggering factor ( % 81,66). iv ^ 54 ÖZET Atatürk Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Dermatoloji Ana Bilim Dalı Polikliniğine 1 Şubat 1993-1 Mayıs 1994 tarihleri arasında başvurup ürtiker tanısı konulan 100 hastada; anamnez, fizik muayene ve laboratuar tetkikler ile ürtiker etyolojisinde rol oynayan faktörler araştırıldı.
