This thesis is about forest fires which have occured between 1994 - 2003 searched for the social economical and culturel dynamics of forest fire. When we look at the forest fire in Turkey; we can easily detect that %94 of forest fire caused by negligence, careless and intention. On the other hand; when we keep on searching for the cause of forest fire, we can find the real cause of wild fire. This cause is the politician and daily changing forest law. Why we choose Muğla for this thesis is that Muğla has the most forest and this forests are the most valnurable due to the altitude and the climate. On the other hand; Muğla' s forest has really importance on Turkish economy. This thesis will show us the characteristics of wild fire and the cause of wild fire.On the other hand this thesis will help the politicians to decide on protect the enviroments and forest. After 1950 with the help of the mechanical process land necessity for the agricalture rised too much. The land necessity for the agricalture is the main trigger of forest fire. On the other hand unsuccesful attempt to move the villages m 1960 İs the other main cause of forest fire. %70 of Muğla` s land covered by forest and all this land covered with paople too. This incrise the vulnarebility of forest. Muğla is the city where the forest fire occur the most in Turkey. When we look at the fires Milas, Köyceğiz, Yatağan,and Fethiye are the places where the forest fires occur too much. On the contrary forest fires occur the least in Ula, Kavaklıdere, Dalaman. The number of forest fires rise due to the population and touristic attraction and vice versa. %37 of forest fires in Muğla caused by negligence and careless,%32 intentio, %13 lightining the rest %20 is not known, if we look at point of view that how many acres affected.%73 of forest fire occured by careless and intention. %30 of forest fire in Muğla and %1 1 of acres caused by intention. The Most important point we should underline regarding to forest fire is that if we consider to conditions of climate, geograpy and human activities in Turkey; it will never be possible to stop forest fire completely. Because of this; only thing we should do is to improve real and right struggle strategy and methods against forest fire which can be occured at any moment. First of all; deficiencies and incorrects have to be removed about National Forest Politics; if we want to prevent forest fire and reducing of forest. After this; we should also consider to particular conditions of fire areas and should try to do away with fire reasons which are occured by these conditions.en_US
