ABSTRACTTHE APPLICATION OF DIRECT INCOME SUPPORT IN AGRICULTURE(Case Of Eski ehir)KILIÇKAYA, GÜLÇ NMaster Thesis-2005Department of EconomicsAdvisor: Özcan Da$demir, Assistant ProfessorThe crises in Turkey?s economy, like in any sector, primary reason of someradical changes in agriculture and same serious attempts have been made to reducethe burden of agriculture in economy. After 1999, agriculture sector in Turkey wasinitiated a state of being made with the guidance and effect of the organizations thatTurkey is member or are in relation the purpose in this state of being made is toimprove fertility in agriculture, to eradicate the problems which were results of theprevious policies and to provide Turkish agriculture to market its products inaccordance with global competition conditions. Furthermore it was aimed to beattuned to E.U. policies and make commitments which were to IMF. This state ofbeing made is described as ?Agricultural Reform?.The purpose of this thesis is to probe Direct Income Support was declared toovertake previous supports and has been put into effect far the first time, moreover itis aimed to show the effects on farmer in Eski9ehir by this application.
