İlköğretim birinci sınıf öğrencilerinin okul olgunluğu ve matematik hazırbulunuşluk düzeyleri

Abstract

Naci ÖZERBu araştırma `şehir ve köy ilköğretim okullarındaki birinci sınıföğrencilerinin okul olgunluğu ile matematik hazırbulunuşluk düzeylerine' aitfarklılığa ilişkin problemi ortaya koymak amacıyla hazırlanmıştır.Bu çalışmanın verileri, 8 ilköğretim okulundaki 207 birinci sınıföğrencisinden toplanmıştır. Verilerin toplanması aşamasında, Okul Olgunluğu Testive Sayılar Alt Testi uygulanmıştır. Şehir ve köy ilköğretim okullarındaki birinci sınıföğrencilerinin okul olgunluğu ile matematik hazırbulunuşluk düzeylerine aitfarklılığı belirlemek için, Mann Whitney U-Testinden yararlanılmıştır.Yapılan analizler sonucunda, okul olgunluğu istenilen düzeyde olan veil/ilçe merkezlerine bağlı şehir ilköğretim okullarında okuyan öğrencilerin matematikhazırbulunuşluk düzeylerinin; okul olgunluk düzeyleri yetersiz olan ve ilçemerkezlerine bağlı köy ilköğretim okullarında okuyan öğrencilerin matematikhazırbulunuşluk düzeylerinden daha iyi olduğu sonucuna varılmıştır.

Naci ÖZERThis study has been prepared to reveal the problem concerning schoolmaturity and the mathematics readiness levels of the first grade primary schoolstudents in the city centre and in the villages.The data of this study have been gathered from 207 first grade students in 8primary schools. In the process of compiling the data, Reversal Test and Sub-numerical Test have been applied. Mann Whitney U-Test has been used todetermine the difference regarding the first grade Students? levels of school maturityand mathematics readiness in city and village primary schools.At the end of the analyses, it has been concluded that mathematicsreadiness of the students, attending provincial primary schools affiliated to thecity/towns, which are in the desired level, are better than those attending villageprimary schools affiliated to the towns, whose school maturity levels are not in thedesired level.
