Beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin öyküleyici metin yazma becerilerinin değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Bu çalışma ilköğretim beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin öyküleyici metin yazma becerilerinin değerlendirilmesi amacıyla yapılmış bir çalışmadır. Yöntem: Araştırma 2010 – 2011 eğitim öğretim yılında Eskişehir Odunpazarı ilçe merkezindeki okulların beşinci sınıflarında öğrenim görmekte olan 663 öğrenciyle gerçekleştirilmiş betimsel bir çalışmadır. Öğrencilere yazdırılan öykülerin analizinde yurt dışında geliştirilmiş ve Türkçeye çevrilmiş olan öykü unsurları değerlendirme ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde öykülerin ölçeğe göre değerlendirilmesi iki sınıf öğretmeni ve bir Türkçe öğretmeni tarafından gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bulgular: Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda öğrencilerin öyküleyici metin unsurlarına istenilen düzeyde yer vermedikleri sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin öyküleyici unsurları kullanma becerilerinin çeşitli değişkenlere göre farklılık gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir.Tartışma ve Sonuç: Araştırma beşinci sınıf öğrencilerinin öyküleyici metin yazma becerilerinin değerlendirilmesine yönelik yapılmış bir çalışma olmakla birlikte ilköğretim birinci sınıftan beşinci sınıfa kadar öykü yazma konusunda İlköğretim Türkçe Programının etkililiğini de göstermektedir. The aim: The aim of this work is to evaluate the fifth grade elementary school students' skills of writing narrative text. The method: The research was carried out with 663 students who are in their 5th year in Eskişehir/Odunpazarı elementary schools. In order to collect datas, students were given a form which consists of three different sections. First section comprises of `Personal Information Details` which includes the datas of individual informations. The second section, `subject list`, is designed for students to decide their subjects in the research. The third section is consisted of empty pages for students to write thier narratives. In the analysis of the data, narrative elements rating scale which was designed in the abroad and translated into Turkish was used effectively. The analysis of datas and evaluation of the narrative according to the rating scale were implemented by two class teacher and a Turkish teacher.Findings: It is extrapolated from the research that students did not use narrative elements as it is desired. Moreover, it is understood that the skills for student to use narrative elements differentiated according to several variance. Argument and Result: In addition to the evaluation of fifth year students' skills to write a narrative text, this research also shows the efficiency of the Elementary School Turkish Program from first to fifth year of the elementary school education.
