dc.description.abstract26 SUMMARY Unilateral motor responses were received from the hypothenar muscle of 61 normal volunteers, with an avarage age of 34.5 (17-73) and without involvement of the central and peripheral nerve systems, by transcranial and Erb point stimulation. To determine the central conduction time, by electrical stimuli from the same muscle of 25 volunteers, the M and F responses were recorded and the conduction time was calculated, and subtracted from the results of the cranial stimulus. During the recordings, facilitation maneuvers were applied to the volunteers. The shortest latency and the greatest amplitude was recorded by using at least four potentials. The mean latency of transcranial stimulation was 19.367±1.47 msec., the mean latency of the Erb point was 12.22zhl.22 msec, the mean latency between the waves was 5.05±0.95 msec, respectively. The mean cranial amplitude was 2.10 mV and the Erb amplitude was 3.38 mV. There was an significant relationship between the body length and the Erb latency (P<0.001). The results, obtained from the facilitation maneuver and at rest were correlated on 12 volunteers. The mean cranial latency, obtained by using facilitation, was significantly short according to the values obtained by rest (P<0.001). Furthermore, the delay between the26 SUMMARY Unilateral motor responses were received from the hypothenar muscle of 61 normal volunteers, with an avarage age of 34.5 (17-73) and without involvement of the central and peripheral nerve systems, by transcranial and Erb point stimulation.
