Ortaokul öğrencilerinin çevresel sorumlu vatandaş davranışları düzeylerinin bazı değişkenler açısından incelenmesi

Abstract

İnsanoğlunun bir numaralı gündemi küresel dünya ölçeğinde çevre konusudur. Bu nedenle çevre eğitimi, eğitimin önemli bir parçasıdır. Toplumlar eğitimle şekillenip olumsuz davranışlarından uzaklaşıp olumlu davranışlara yönelecektir. Bu nedenledir ki içinde yaşanılan çevreyi korumak sadece şu an yaşayan bireyler açısından değil sonraki nesiller için de önem arz etmektedir. Bu da ancak çevre konusunda sorumlu, duyarlı ve bilinçli bireyler ile gerçekleşebilir. Bu çalışmada ortaokul 6, 7 ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerinin çevresel sorumlu vatandaşlık düzeylerinin bazı değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini Kayseri ili Kocasinan, Melikgazi ve Talas ilçelerinde öğrenim gören 1500 6, 7 ve 8. sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmaktadır. Çalışmada Özden (2011) tarafından geliştirilen kişisel bilgi formu ve çevresel sorumlu vatandaşlar davranış ölçeği (ÇSVDÖ) kullanılmıştır. Kişisel bilgi formu 10, çevresel sorumlu vatandaşlar ölçeği ise 27 maddeden oluşmaktadır. Uygulanan ölçeğin güvenirliği .903 olarak bulunmuştur. Çalışmanın sonuçları SPPS 24.0 paket programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Sonuç olarak ortaokul öğrencilerinin çevresel sorumlu vatandaş davranış düzeyleri üzerine sınıf düzeyi, cinsiyet, akademik başarı, baba eğitim düzeyi, çevre kuruluşu ve çevre kulüplerine üye olma, çevre ile ilgili etkinliklere katılma gibi değişenler açısından anlamlı fark olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Araştırma sonunda araştırmacılara yönelik çeşitli önerilerde de bulunulmuştur.

The most important agenda of the human beings is the environment on the global scale. For this reason, environmental education is an important part of education. Societies are shaped by education and move away from negative behaviors towards positive behaviors. For this reason, protecting of environment is important not only for the individuals living now but also for the next generations. This can only happen with responsible, sensitive and conscious individuals regarding the environment. In this study, it was aimed be examined the environmentally responsible citizenship levels of 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in terms of some variables. The sample of the study consists of 1500 students in the 6th, 7th and 8th grades who receive education in the districts of Kocasinan, Melikgazi and Talas in Kayseri province. The personal information form developed by Özden (2011) and the environmentally responsible citizens behavior scale (ÇSVDÖ) were used in the study. The personal information form consists of 10 items and the environmentally responsible citizens scale consists of 27 items. The reliability of the applied scale was found to be .903. The results of the study were analyzed with the SPPS 24.0 packaged software. As a result, it was determined that secondary school students have significant differences in environmentally responsible citizen behavior levels in terms of variables such as grade level, gender, academic achievement, father's education level, membership of environmental organizations and environmental clubs, participation in environmental activities. At the end of the research, various suggestions were made for the researchers.
