dc.description.abstractBu çalısmada CO2'in elektrokimyasal indirgenmesi polipirol (PPy) kaplı bakırelektrot ile gerçeklestirilmistir.Bakır elektrot yüzeyinde sentezlenen PPy'ün özellikleri belirlenmis ve PPy elektrodunsodyum oksalat ve CH3OH/0,1 M LiClO4/1,5x10-3 M H+ elektrolitlerindeki elektrokimyasaldavranısı dönüsümlü voltametri ile incelenmistir. PPy elektrodun uygulanan potansiyelebaglı olarak yükseltgenme indirgenme reaksiyonu verdigi yani elektroaktif oldugugözlenmistir.Bakır yüzeyinde sentezlenen PPy filmi ile CO2 indirgenmesi potansiyele, CO2basıncına, elektroliz süresine ve PPy film kalınlıgına baglı olarak incelenmistir. PPykaplanmıs ve kaplanmamıs Cu ile elde edilen CO, C2H4, C2H6, HCOOH ve CH3COOH'inmiktarlarının ve ürün verimlerinin farklı olması, mekanizmanın farklı oldugunugöstermektedir.Literatürde daha önce bakır yüzeyinde sentezlenen PPy filmi ile CO2 indirgenmesinerastlanmamıstır. Bu çalısmada bakır yüzeyinde sentezlenen PPy elektrodun CO2indirgenmesi için kullanılabilecek bir elektrot materyali oldugu sonucuna varılmıstır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Bakır, Polipirol, Karbondioksit, Elektrokimyasal ndirgenme.
dc.description.abstractIn this study, electrochemical reduction of CO2 was achieved at a copper electrodecoated with polypyrrole (PPy).PPy which was synthesis at a copper electrode surface was determinated its propertiesand electrochemical behaviours of PPy electrode was investigated with cyclic voltammetryin sodium oxalate and CH3OH/0,1 M LiClO4/1,5x10-3 M H+ electrolytes. PPy electrode wasobserved to be electroactive or to give redox reaction depend on the applied potential.Reduction of CO2 was investigated depend on potential, CO2 pressure, electrolysistime and PPy thickness at copper electrode coated with PPy film. Quantities and efficienciesof CO, C2H4, C2H6, HCOOH and CH3COOH were different at PPy coated and uncoatedcopper so it was obtained that its mechanism was different.As far as in literatue, reduction of CO2 wasn?t achieved at a PPy film which synthesison copper surface. It has been concluded by this study that PPy electrode can be used as aelectrode material to reduction of CO2.Key Words: Copper, Polypyrrole, Carbon Dioxide, Electrochemical Reduction.en_US
