Johann Wolfgang Von Goethe`nin Faust adlı oyununun çağdaş bir meddah performansı olarak uygulanması ve sahnelenmesi

Abstract

Hikâye anlatıcılığına dayalı sahneleme üslubu en eski ve en yalın sahne sanatı formlarından biridir. Geleneksel Türk gösteri sanatlarında bu örneğe Meddahta rastlanır. Bu çalışmada Geleneksel Meddah formundan yola çıkarak çağdaş bir sahneleme ortaya koymak hedeflenmiştir. Çalışmanın bir diğer amacı da Goethe'nin Faust'unu bu sahnelemenin hikâye kaynağı olarak kullanmak ve Faust metnini tek kişilik bir anlatı metnine uyarlamaktır. Bu amaçlarla ortaya konulan bu tez çalışması, sahnelemeye yönelik olarak yapılan arka plan çalışmasını ve sahneleme aşamalarını içermektedir. Sahnelemeye yön verecek ifade araçlarını keşfetmek için yapılan çalışmada araştırılan konulardan birinin başlığı anlatı formları olan diegesis ve epik anlatı üzerinedir. Diğer bir başlık da Meddahın dünyası ve ifade araçları üzerinedir. Ayrıca, bu tezde bir sanatçı olarak Goethe incelenmiş ve Faust metninin içerdiği anlamlar modernite kavramı çerçevesinde ele alınmıştır.

Story-telling based staging form is one of the most plain and most ancient forms of performing arts. This form was originally employed in Meddah performances in Traditional Turkish Performing Arts. Achieving a modern staging experience through Meddah Form is the main purpose of this study. Focusing on Goethe's Faust as the main plot and retelling the Goethe's text in a form of solitary narration is the second goal of this study. This dissertation includes notes on background survey for staging and phases of staging process. Main titles of the study for attaining the tools of expression which will guide the staging are the concepts of diegesis and epic narration. On the other hand, Meddah's nature and its tools of expressions are reviewed and analysed. Concurrently, while Goethe was being examined as an artist, underlaying connotations of the Faust text are evaluated within the frame of Modernity concept.
