Abstract
A microcontroller based instrumentation and data acquisition system is developed forevoked potential measurements. The system is intended for incorporation into systemsfor improving safety of anesthesia delivery and requires an IBM compatible Pc. Thestudy involves the design and implementation of a bipolar, high CMRR, low-noise andlow cost isolated biopotential amplifier for EEG and EP measurements and amicrocontroller card with Intel N87C 196KR for data acquisition, audio-stimulusgeneration, filter selection and amplifier controls. The system has two selectableanalog low-pass filter settings; a SO Hz notch filter and also has a 1 kHz audio signalgenerator.
