Abstract
To map out the change with respect to conductivity differences as in ElectricalConductivity Imaging Method, is the basic concept in this research study.Current injection / voltage sensing technique is utilized where the current is suppliedfrom a constant current source and the potential evoked by the current across theelectrodes are amplified and digitized for further processing using a image reconstructionalgorithm.Bipolar guarded electrode configuration is selected, and by using 32 electrodeelements, 16 guarded electrodes are formed in a cylindrical pattern. The electrode systemis embedded into a saline solution tank for simulating a conductivity medium.Image processing is realized by utilizing digital subtraction and summationmethods sequentially. A summation matrix is created to visualize the high impedancepoints.
