Eighteenth century Ottoman architecture in İstanbul: 1703 1807

Abstract

This thesis intended to trace the developmentof the eighteenth century ottoman architecturein context with the architectural changes.After a short introductory chapter, a panoramicview of the social and historical conditionsof the eighteenth century was tried to bestudied. The third chapter de.als with the majorbuildings of the century in a chronologicalorder, and the changes which deviate from the .classical patterns of the Ottoman architecturewas studied. In the 4th Chapter, the Conclusion,a theoretical frame of the architecture of thisperiod was tried to be established.
