Mutual funds in Turkey

Abstract

ÖZET 1980 'li yıllarda Türk Sermaye Piyasası 'nda birçok yeni f inansal yatırını tipleri denenmiştir. Bunların en yenisi de Menkul Kıymet Yatırım Fonları' dır. ilk pay senetleri yalnızca onbir ay önce satışa sunulmuş. fakat yatır ıs fonları sermaye piyasamızın vazgeçilmez bir öğesi olmuştur. Bu araştırmanın amacı güncel verilerle Türkiye'deki yatırıra fonlarını tanıtmak ve bunları Birleşik Amerika ve İsviçre'deki fonlarla karşılaştırmaktır. Bu araştırmada kullanılan kaynaklar yazın taramaları ve fon idaresi ile ilgili şahıslarla yapılan görüşmelerdir. Çalışmanın bu konuda yapılacak araştırmalara yardımcı olacağını umuyorum.

XV Abstract In 1980s, many new instruments were introduced into the Turkish Capital and Money Markets, The newest tool is the mutual funds. The first mutual fund shares started to circulate only eleven months ago; however, mutual funds became an indispensable part of the financial life of Turkey. The main purpose of this study is to present this new tool with the current data and compare it with the mutual funds in the United States and Switzerland, The sources of information in this study are collected through literature survey and interviews with the persons in charge of the operations of mutual funds. It is hoped that this study will be helpful to researchers on mutual tunas.
