Organizational Factors that sre included in this study ares Job involvement Rol e asisb i qui ty Stress in ii-fe Stress &t. work Relationship with teams-spates- Satisfaction with supervision Satisfaction with management Satisfaction with the financial position The factors that are included in this study ares Age Visi.rit.al status Having a child or not Educational level of the player Educational level of the father Having to sove -froa another city or not Having another job besides basketball or not The position in the tea© The number of agreements made with this teas.1 V The scope of this study is the first league basketball players in Turkey» Only the male basketball players were included in this study» The relationship between the organisational factors and performance has been tested by the Pearson Correlation Analysis» As a result of Pearson Correlation Analysis it is found that stress in life an total stress are negatively and satisfaction with supervision is positively correlated with performance. On the other hand high correlations were found between some organizational factors» Job involvement is found to be positively correlated with stress &t work, good working relationship with team-mates, satisfaction with supervision and m an ag emen t » Although the g ood working relationship with team-- mates, satisfaction with supervision and satisfaction with management &tb positively correlated with each other f these three ars negatively correlated with role ambiguity, but have no relation with the financial satisfaction» Stress in life is found to be positively correlated with stress at..work and negatively correlated with the satisfaction with supervision and total satisfaction which is the satisfaction with team-mates* managements supervision and financial position» In addition stress in life and stress at work &re positively correlated with total stress». Role ambiguity is also found to- be positively correlated with stress at work, stress in lifeand total stress, but negatively correlated with total satisfaction, satisfaction with supervision, satisfaction with management and working relationship with team-mates. When analysing the relationship between personal.factors and performance, different tests have been utilised. As a result of both the t -test and one way F analysis» a relationship is found between marital status and performance. It. is found that there is a difference in the means of married arid single players in relation to performance. Married players ars found to perform better than si ng 1 e p 1 avers. The Pearson Correlation Analysis m&de between age, educational level of the player, educational level of the father, number of agreements made with this teas» and performance revealed that there is a positive correlation between age and performance, and there is- also a positive correlation between educational level of the player and performance. That is players perform better as their ages and educational levels increase. T-tests &re utilised for some personal factors and performance. The personal factors tested are having a child or not. having to move from another city or not, having another job besides basketball or not and the position, in the team. The positions are categorized as game builder. scorer, rebounder and defense. As a result of t- test, it isVI ?found out that basketball players who have children have better psr-fanrmncB scores than those who don't have- children. It is also concluded that game builders a.rs<â rebounders per -for m better than the players in other positions in the team. At the end a regression analysis is done taking only the organisational -factors and personal factors, that have been -found from the previous tests to have relationship with performance as independent variables and performance as the dependent variable» As a result of the stepwise regression analysis it' is found that total stress, satisfaction with supervision and age are the most important factors that affect performance»
