Abstract

KISA ÖZET Otomotiv Yan Sanayi için Bir Verimlilik ve Kalite İyileştirme Modeli - Uygulamalı Bir Çalışma- Ersan MERİÇ Globalleşen ve rekabetçi ekonomik ortamda üretim yapan firmalar, varlıklarını sürdürebilmek ve büyüyebilmek amacıyla müşteri tatmini ve hatta müşteri sadakatini sağlamak zorundadırlar. Otomotiv endüstrisi bu rekabetin en yoğun yaşandığı sektörlerden biridir. İnsan hayatı ve konforu arasındaki dengeyi kurma zorunluluğu olan otomotiv sektöründe, üretilen tüm ürünlerin güvenilirliğinin teminat altına alınması gereklidir. Otomotivdeki gelişmeler diğer endüstriyel sektörlere de yansımaktadır. Bir araç üzerinde bulunan parçaların %70-80'inin yan sanayiden satınalındığı gözönüne alınırsa, verimlilik ve kalite iyileştirmesinin ana sanayi ile birlikte yan sanayide de olma mecburiyeti ortaya çıkar. Bu tezin amacı, diğer sektörlerdeki üreticilere de hitap etmekle beraber, otomotiv sektöründeki yan sanayi firmaları için bir 'Verimlilik ve Kalite İyileştirme Modeli' sunmaktadır. Sunulan model, bir yan sanayi firmasında uygulanmıştır. Bu konuda önerilen birçok geliştirme modeli bulunmaktadır. Her firmanın değişik problemleri ve ihtiyaçları olduğu gözönüne alındığında, evrensel olarak geçerli tek bir iyileştirme modelinin olamayacağı açıktır. Yapılan çalışmanın özelliği ise, uygulama ile desteklenmiş ve modelin geçerliliğinin denenmiş olmasıdır. İlk olarak Ana Sanayi- Yan Sanayi ilişkileri ele alınmış, ve günümüzde gelinen nokta vurgulanmıştır. Bu kapsamda yan sanayiye yönelik iyileştirme çalışmalarının gereği belirtilmiştir. Bu aşamada önerilen model sunulmuş, aşamaları açıklanmıştır (İkinci Bölüm). Model kapsamında ele alınacak konuların seçilme yöntemi belirtilmiştir. Daha sonra ele alınan bu konularla ilgili bilgiler Üçüncü Bölümde geniş bir biçimde sunulmuştur. Yapılan çalışmaların sonuçlan ve sağlanan iyileştirmeler Dördüncü Bölümde yer almıştır. En son bölümde elde edilen sonuçlar tartışılmış ve bazı öneriler yapılmıştır. v

ABSTRACT A Model For Quality And Productivity Improvement In An Automotive Supplier Company -A Case Study- by Ersan Meriç In recent years, the global competitive economy is forcing the manufacturing companies to provide customer satisfaction and, more than that, customer loyalty, in order to survive and continue to grow. Automotive industry is one of the industrial areas characterized by intense competition. The obligation to provide the balance between human safety and comfort, has brought the requirement of product reliability. The improvements has direct and indirect effects on other sectors. The fact that, 70- 80% of the parts in a vehicle is bought from suppliers, represents the importance of productivity and quality improvement activities in suppliers as well as manufacturers. The purpose of this thesis is to present a Productivity and Quality Improvement Model for the automotive industry suppliers. The model has been implemented in a supplier company. There are many improvement models developed previously about this subject. It is natural that, companies have varying requirements and problems, and a universally valid improvement model is impossible to develop. The implementation and verification of validity of the model represented here is the characteristic of this study. In this study, first, the Buyer-Supplier Relationships are discussed and the present situation is stated. The need for improvement activities in suppliers is expressed. In the Second Section, the proposed model and the steps of the model are presented. The method of selection of subjects discussed in the model is explained. The details about these subjects are widely explained in Third Section. The activities and the results and improvements are stated at the Fourth Section. Finally, the consequences of the study are discussed and some recommendations are made in the last section. IV
