dc.description.abstractÖZET Bu Yüksek Hıişans çalışması i İğ Ankara Nükleer Araş tırma ve Eğitim Merkezi'nde bulunart 5 Ci şiddetindeki 238Pu-Be izotopik nötron kaynağı kullanılarak/ nötron ak- tivasyon analizi ile analizi mümkün olan elementlerin â- raştırılması ve söz konusu elementlerin dedeksiyon limi ti ve sensitivitelerinin tesoiti amaçlanmıştır. Bu nokta dan hareket ederek Li, B, Na, Al, Si, Ci, Sc, V, Mn, Fe, Co, Cu, Ga, Ge, As, Se, Sr, Ru, Ag, in. I, Cs, Ba, İ,a, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Eu, Gd, Dy, Ho, Er, Yb, Lu, Hf, W ve Au elementlerinin dedeksiyon limiti ve sensitiviteleri tes- bit edilmiştir. Ayrıca çalışmanın temelini oluşturan nötro nun basit özellikleri özetlenmiş ve aktivasyon analizinin prensipleri etraflıca tartışılmıştır. - III -
dc.description.abstractABSTRACT INVESTIGATION OF THE POSSiDBIJ&ITY IN ANALYSIS OF ELEMENTS BY ACTIVATION ANALYSIS AND DETERMINATION OF DETECTION LIMITS OF PROPOSED ELEMENTS USING A 5 Ci Pu-8e NEUTRON SOURCE This H.S thesis consists of four parts. la the fist part of study some properties of neutrons are introduced then neutrons are classified according to their energy and full explanations given about neutron sources. In the second part, fundamental principles of activation analysis is explained and theory of the conventional and cyclic activation analysis discussed in detail. In the third part of study, some elements that can be analysed by 5 Ci Pu-Be source are investigated and detection limits of these elements determined. In the last part of study results are evaluated and discussed. - IV -en_US
