Sivas ve yöresinde yetişen boya bitkilerinden elde edilen renkler ve bunların yün halı iplikleri üzerindeki haslık dereceleri üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

Yüzyıllar boyunca uğraşılan bitkisel boyalarla boyama günümüzde tekrar önem kazanmıştır. Bitkisel boyalarla boyanmış ipliklerle dokunan halı ve kilimler tercih edilir duruma gelmiştir. Doğal bitki örtüsü içerisinde birçok boya bitkisi olan yurdumuzda, bitkisel boyaların en çok kullanıldığı yörelerden biri de Sivas'tır. Sivas halılarının tarihi uzun yıllara dayanmaktadır. Kalitesi ve ünü dünya çapına yayılan Sivas halılarında kullanılan Adaçayı, Ceviz, Havaciva, Karamuk, Kızılçam, Muhabbet çiçeği, Sığırkuyruğu ve Sütleğen gibi bitkiler doğal boyalar içinde önemli bir yere sahiptir. Bu araştırma ile bu bitkilerden elde edilen renkler, bu renklerin, yün halı iplikleri üzerindeki ışık, sürtünme, su damlası haslıkları belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Yine bu çalışmada en ideal mordan oranı tespit edilmeye çalışılmıştır. Bitkiler yüne göre %100 oranında, 1 saat süreyle kaynatılarak sıcak ekstraktlar hazırlanmıştır. Bu ekstraktlarla 5 adet mordan yüne göre %2 ve %4 oranlarında kullanılarak 80 adet mordanlı 8 adet mordansız boyama yapılmıştır. Boyanmış yün ipliklerinden elde edilen renkler adlandırılmıştır. Işık haslığında 1-7, sürtünme haslığında 1-5, su damlası haslığında ıslak 3-5, kuru4-5 arasında değişen değerler bulunmuştur. İncelenen bu 3 haslık değerlerinde mordan ve mordan oranı etkili olmuştur.

Dying by vegetables dyes studied for centuries has become important again nowadays. Moreover, the carpet woved with wool yarn dyed with vegetable dye are prefered. In our country having many dye vegetables inside its natural vegetables, one of the place in which vegetable dyes are used at most is Sivas. The history of Sivas Carpets is very old. The dye vegetables such as Salvia sp., Juglans regia., Alkanna tinctoria, Berberis vulgaris, Pinus brutia ten., Reseda luteola, Verbascum sp., Euphorbia used for Sivas hand woven carpets have a significant place in natual dyes. In this research, the colours obtained from this vegetables and their colour fastness to light, to abrasion and to water spotting on wool carpet yarns were studied. Also, in this research, the most proper mordant ratio was tried to be determined. To obtain hot extracts, the vegetables boiled in the period of one hour and in the raito of 100% by taking into consideration the weight of the wool carpet yarns. By using these extracts and previously prepared 5 each mordant in the ratio of 2% and 4% by taking into consideration the weight of the wool carpet yarns, with mordants 80 each, without mordant 8 each, totally 88 each dyeing processes were determined. The colours of dyed wool yarn were labeled. The colour fastnesses such as colour fastness to light were found as 1 to 7, to abrasion 1 to 5, water spotting 3 to 5 as wet and 4 to 5 as dry. Mordant and mordant ratio were found to be effective on these 3 fastness value investigated.
