VE STERNBERGIA CANDIDA (MATHEW VE T.BAYTOP)' NIN KARYOLOJİK ÖZELLİKLERİ (Yüksek Lisans Tezi) Aysel SUNGUR GAZI ÜNİVERSİTESİ FEN BİLİMLERİ ENSTİTÜSÜ Eylül 1997 ÖZET Bu çalışmada Sternbergia fıschericma (Herbert) Rupr. ve Stembergia Candida (Mathew ve T.Baytop)'nın kromozom morfolojileri detaylı olarak incelenmiştir. Kromozom sayılan hem Sternbergia fıscheriana hem de Sternbergia Candida' da. 2n=20 olup, her ikisi de diploiddir. Temel kromozom sayısı x=10'dur. Kromozom boylan Sternbergia fıscheriana'' da 18.04-6.62 um'dir. Sternbergia Candida' da 23.50-8.73 um'dir. Sternbergia fıscheriana'mn karyotipi 3 metasentrik, 7 subtelosentrik, Sternbergia candida'mıı karyotipi ise 3 metasentrik, 4 subtelosentrik ve 3 akrosentrik kromozomdan oluşmaktadır. Satellitler, Stembergia fıscheriana' da 6. 7. 8. ve 10. kromozomun kısa kollarında, Sternbergia candida'da 7. ve 9. kromozomların kısa kollanndadrr. Thesis) Aysel SUNGUR GAZI UNIVERSITY INSTITUTE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY September 1997 ABSTRACT In this study Stembergia fischeriana (Herbert) Rupr. and Sternbergia Candida (Mathew and T.Baytop) were analysed in terms of chromosome morphology. Both Sternbergia fischeriana and Sternbergia Candida were diploid with the chromosome number of 2n=20. Basic chromosome number is x=10. Chromosome lengths are ranged between 18.04 and 6.62 um in Sternbergia fischeriana and, between 23.50 and 8.73 um in Sternbergia Candida. The karyotype of Sternbergia fischeriana consists of 3 metacentric and 7 subtelocentric chromosomes, of Sternbergia Candida consists of 3 metacentric, 4 subtelocentric and 3 acrocentric chromosomes. Satellites are on the short arms of Chromosomes 6, 7, 8 and 10, in Sternbergia fischeriana and, of Chromosomes 7, and 9, in Sternbergia Candida.
