Ankara`daki yüksek öğrenim binalarının gelişimi

Abstract

Bir kentin yapılaşma süreci içerisinde üniversite yapılarının büyük önemi vardır. Üniversitelerin doğuşu ve gelişimi uzun yıllar içerisinde gerçekleşen büyük, önemli, toplumsal ve ekonomik bir olaydır. Bu nedenle yapılan çalışmada üniversite yapılarının incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışmanın içeriğinde, Ankara kentindeki, Ankara, O.D.T.Ü., Hacettepe, Gazi, Bilkent ve Başkent üniversite yapılarının kent içinde konumlandıkları alanlar ve bu alanların çevre ile olan ilişkilerinin saptanılmasına, üniversite ve fakülte binalarıyla ilgili gerekli tüm bilgilerin toplanılmasına çalışılmıştır. Çalışmanın başlangıç bölümünde üniversitelerin ve YÖK'ün tarihsel gelişimine yer verilmektedir. Daha sonraki aşamada ise, Ankara' daki yüksek öğrenim binaları üzerine yapılan araştırmaların ışığında bir katalog hazırlanmıştır. Yapılan araştırmalar sonucu elde edilen bilgilerle, önce üniversitelerin tarihçelerine değinilmekte ve sonra sırasıyla fakültelerin kuruluş yıllan, fakülte binalarının yapım yıllan, mimarları, konumlan belirlenmekte ve bina tanımlan yapılmaktadır. Sonuç bölümünde ise, bir kısmı birbirine yakın tarihlerde kurulmasına rağmen, çok farklı anlayışlarla ortaya çıkmış olan üniversitelerin, bazı fakülte binalarında üniversitelerarası kıyaslama yapılmıştır.

The university buildings play a major role throughout the tenure of the structuring of a city. The creation and development of the universities are major and important social and economic events, which have been carried out through long years. Based upon this fact, the examination of the university buildings is aimed with this study. Within the scope of this study, the areas in which the buildings of the universities in the City of Ankara such as Ankara, O.D.T.Ü., Hacettepe, Gazi, Bilkent and Başkent are located and the relations of these areas with the environment are determined and the necessary information concerning the buildings of universities and faculties are collected. The beginning section of the study contains the historical development of the universities and YÖK (Higher Education Council). In the following stages, a catalogue is prepared including the studies on the higher education buildings in Ankara. With the information obtained as a result of the studies, first of all the histories of the universities are included and then the foundation dates of the faculties, the construction dates of the faculty buildings, their architects, locations are determined and the building definitions are made respectively. In the conclusion section, a comparison is carried out in terms of some faculty buildings of the universities, which occurred with different understandings in spite of the fact that some of these universities are founded in similar dates.
