Tım burton sinemasında sürrealist ev incelemesi

Abstract

Sinemada, film senaryo hikâyelerinin izleyicilere aktarılmasında karakterler kadar mekânlara da ihtiyaç duyulur. Özellikle fantastik tür filmler kurguları gereği karakterlere olan ihtiyacından daha çok fantastik, bildik sınırları zorlayan mekân kurgularına ihtiyaç duyarlar. Filmleri fantastik sinema türü içinde anılan Amerikalı yönetmen Tim Burton; modernleşme ile yitirilen ev, aidiyet, özgünlük ve alternatif anlayışlarının eksikliği konularını filmleri aracılığı ile eleştirir. Burton filmlerinde mekân çoğu kez sürrealist (gerçeküstü) bir anlayışla tasarlanmıştır; gerçek ile ilişkisi tartışılabilir konumdadır. Gerçek ile sürreal olan çoğu kez yan yana var olurlar. Burton, filmlerinde Endüstri Devrimi'nden sonra ortaya çıkan farklı barınma türlerini hem eleştirir hem de bu barınma türlerinin alternatifinin olup olmama durumunu sorgular. Bu çalışmada Tim Burton'ın seçilen iki filminde yer alan ev mekânları, sürreal iç mekân çerçevesi ve ev kullanıcısının kimliği ve bilinçaltı üzerinden incelenecektir.

In the cinema, spaces as well as characters are needed to transfer the stories of film scripts to the audience. In particular, fantastic films need more fantastic space, which forces the familiar boundaries than the characters need. Tim Burton, the director of American films, who is also known for his fantastic form of cinema; criticizes the problems of the house which has been lost by modernisation, belonging, originality and lack of alternative understanding through films. In Burton's films, space is often designed with a surrealist approach; its relationship with reality is questionable. Reality and surreal often exist side by side. In his films, Burton both criticizes the different types of housing that emerged after the Industrial Revolution and questions whether there is an alternative to these types of housing. In this study, the home spaces in Tim Burton's chosen two films will be examined through the surreal interior frame and the identity and subconscious of the home user.
