Abstract
SUMMARY 100 eyes of 94 patients that had been IOL implanted between 1993 and 1996 in Dicle University Medical Faculty, Deparment of Ophalmology, with a mean 1 1.68 months follow up period were evaluated. The patients mean age was 52.12 years and 63.82%, of them were men and 36.17% were women. Anterior chamber lenses were implanted to 19 eyes and posterior chamber lenses were implanted to 81 eyes. Mean power of lenses were found 18.92 D for anterior chamber lenses and 20.91 D for posterior cham ber lenses. The most freguent complications for anterior chamber lenses were striate keratopathy - corneal edema (15.78%) irreguler pupil (15.78%) and pigmentary deposit on the pseudophakos(15.78%). The most freguent complications for posterior chamber lenses were striate keratopathy - corneal edema (25.92%), Pigmentary deposit the pse- udophacos (20.58 %), pupillary membrane (13.58%) and pupillary ab normality (12.34 %). 6 month after operations 0.5 or more visuel acuity with acceptable cor rection (-2.0 - + 1.0 D) was found 68.42% of the eyes with anterior cham ber lenses and 75.30% of the eyes with posterior chamber lenses. 55 SUMMARY 100 eyes of 94 patients that had been IOL implanted between 1993 and 1996 in Dicle University Medical Faculty, Deparment of Ophalmology, with a mean 1 1.68 months follow up period were evaluated.
