Abstract
This study consists of six sections. In the first section, general information about the importance of difference equations is given. In the second section, general definitions and theorems related to difference equations are given. In the third section, a literature research about the studies on the periodic character, boundedness of solutions and global asymptotic stability of equilibrium points of various types of difference equations and systems of difference quation are given. In the fourth section, the global behavior of positive solutions of the second order difference equation x_{n+1}=a/(1+x_{n}x_{n-1}) for all positive values of parameter a is examined. Again in this section, the solvability in closed form, periodic character, boundedness and global behavior of positive solutions of the second order, periodic coefficient difference equation x_{n+1}=a_{n}/(1+x_{n}x_{n-1}) are examined. In the fifth section, numerical examples are given to confirm the theoretical results. In the sixth section, the conclusions and suggestions about the difference equation examined in the fourth chapter were given.
