11 eylül sonrası terörizmin kazandığı yeni boyut ve uluslararası terörizmin Türkiye`ye yansımaları

Abstract

Bu tezin amacl, 11 Eylul 2001 tarihinde Amerika Birleyik Devletleri'ndemeydana gelen saldlrllar sonrasl, varl~gi tum dunyada tekrar hissedilen terorkavrarmnln, gepiyte oldugu gibi gelecekte de toplum hayatini etkileyecek kuresel(uluslararas~)b oyutta tehlikeli bir eylem oldugunu ortaya koymaktlr.Kuresel teroriin sadece belirli devletleri hedef almasi ve bu devletlerle slnlrl~kalmasi art~kg unumuzde soz konusu degildir. Bu kapsamda eylemlerinin say~sindave yiddetinde art19 gosteren kuresel teror faaliyetleri dunyanln her yerinde beklenirhale gelmiytir. ABD'deki bu teror saldinlar~d unyanln bir~okii lkesini oldugu gibi,bolgesinde lider ve ornek bir ulke olarak kabul edilen laik, demokratik, hukuk devletiolan ve terorle ylllard~r mucadele etmekte olan Turkiye Cumhuriyeti'ni deetkilenmiytir. Bu Gallymada oncelikle teroriin tanlnu, tarihi geliSimi, qe~itleri,nitelikleri, uluslararas~ antlaymalardaki yeri incelenmi~tir. Daha sonra terorunkamuya olan etkisi kamu, medya, teror iliykisi goz onunde bulundurularak analizedilmiytir. The aim of this thesis is to define that terror is a global menace which willaffect public, after 911 1 terrorist attacks in the USA.It cannot be mentioned that global terrorism will aim specific countries andwill be limited just in them. In this respect, it is expected that the terrorist activitieswill increase in terms of quantity and violence.The terrorist attacks in the USA affected Turkish Republic which has aprolonged struggle against terrorism , and considered as a secular, democratic, theleader and model state of her region.In this thesis first of all studied the explanation of terror, and then historicalevaluation, types, specifications and the place of it in the international treaties.Afterwards considering the relation between public, media and terror it was analyzedthe affect of terrorism over public. It was tried to explain the affect of globalterrorism over Turkey, and the things that had been done and must be done byTurkey in the struggle against terrorism.Turkey, which has effective potential in the international system due to hergeopolitical position and experience, as being a country which has suffered a lotbecause of terrorism , must evaluate policies that will protect her benefits in thestruggle against terrorism.This study contains the changing form of global terror post 9/11 and itseffects over Turkey.Keywords: Terror, Struggle Against Terrorism, Globalisation, hztenzationalTreaties, Al-Qaeda, Asimetric War, Media.
