Yazılım / Sistem Mühendisliği alanında kullanılan bilgisayar destekli araçlarda gözlenen gelişmeler, yapısal bilgi sistemleri geliştirme metodolojilerinin daha verimli bir şekilde uygulanmasını sağlamaktadır. Bu tez çalışmasında, yapısal sistem geliştirme metodolojilerinden biri olan Jackson Sistem Geliştirme Metodolojisi (JSGM) ve bu metodolojinin proje değerlendirme amaçlan için kullanımı incelenmiştir. İlk olarak, Jackson Sistem Geliştirme Metodolojisi ayrıntılı bir şekilde ele alınmış, daha sonra bu metodoloji `Proje Seçim Sistemi` üzerinde uygulanmış ve program kaynak kodlan COBOL dilinde Michael Jackson Systems Limited (şimdi LBMS) şirketi ürünü olan JSP-TOOL programı kullanılarak üretilmiştir. Tezde, son olarak çalışmanın sonuçlan verilmiş, ek olarak da uygulama ile ilgili bilgiler sunulmuştur. Konu ile ilgili kaynaklar da tezin sonunda yer almıştır. ABSTRACT JACKSON SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT METHODOLOGY (JSDM) FOR PROJECT SELECTION SYSTEM GÜLER, Pınar M. S. in Computer Engineering Supervisor : Prof. Dr. Ziya AKTAŞ January, 1993, 280 pages. Rapid developments in the automated tools for software and systems engineering fields have led to increases in the effectiveness of structured information system development methodologies. In this thesis, Jackson System Development Methodology (JSDM) for project evaluation purposes is investigated. First, Jackson System Development Methodology is covered in detail and then JSDM is applied to `Project Selection System` for better understanding of its characteristics. The source code is generated in COBOL with the JSP-TOOL that is available from Michael Jackson Systems Limited which is now LBMS. At the end of the thesis some conclusions are drawn and extensions of the study are stated. A list of references is given at the end. Appendix includes New Projects Information Form, Project Identification Form, Project Selection System Specifications, COBOL Source Code Listing and Sample Inputs and Outputs of the Program.
