Cumhuriyetin ilk yıllarında Demirci Kazası (1923-1933)

Abstract

Bu tez çalışması ile Demirci ilçesinin Cumhuriyet'in ilk yıllarındaki idari ve nüfus yapısı, sosyal, kültürel, iktisadi ve ticari hayatı ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Böylece hem yerel tarih anlayışı içinde yaşadığımız yerin daha iyi tanınması sağlanmış, hem de Cumhuriyet ile birlikte yeni yaşam şeklinin ve inkılapların, ülkede nasıl algılanıp uygulandığı izlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Demirci'nin mevcut konumu ortaya konulduktan sonra çalışma, Demirci'nin geçirdiği acılı yıllar olan Milli Mücadele'deki yeri ile sürdürülmüştür. Özellikle, bu tezde ayrıntılı bir şekilde, Osmanlı Devleti'nin son yılları, Milli Mücadele Dönemi ve Türkiye Cumhuriyeti'nin kuruluş yılları ele alınmıştır. Demirci'nin idari, sosyal, kültürel ve ekonomik yapısında meydana gelen değişim, yerel ve genel hatları ile incelenmiş ve bu çalışma içerisinde aktarılmaya çalışılmıştır. İncelenen dönemin öncesi ve sonrası ile nüfus ve idari gelişim yansıtılmış, Demirci'nin nasıl bir büyüme gerçekleştirdiği ifade edilmiştir. Belediye hizmetleri, imar ve bayındırlık faaliyetleri, Cumhuriyetin ilk on yılında Demirci'deki gelişmeler ortaya konulmaya çalışılmıştır. Ayrı bir bölümde ele aldığımız sosyal ve kültürel faaliyetler arasında yer alan eğitim, spor, sağlık konuları ile kazanın yeni bir yaşama nasıl ayak uydurduğu, bugünkü kültürel seviyesine nasıl ulaştığı ele alınmıştır. Demirci kazasında bayındırlık ve imar faaliyetleri, belediye hizmetleri ile ulaşımda yaşanan değişimler de işlenmiştir. Kazanın iktisadi yapısında yaşanan değişimler, gelişmeler farklı kaynaklar ve istatistikler analiz edilerek verilmiştir. Son olarak da Cumhuriyetin ilanı ile birlikte iktisadi ve ticari alanda gelen gelişme ve değişimlerin Demirci'deki yansıması tespit edilmiştir.

İn this thesis; the administrative and demographic structure, social, cultural, economic and commercial life of the Demirci District in the first years of the Republic were put forward. Thus it provides better knowledge and the understanding of local history provided better recognition of the place we live in. and how the new life style and the innovations are perceived and applied in the country together with the republic are explained from a small profile. After Demirci's current position was revealed, the study continued with the place of Demirci's painful years in the Turkish war of Independence. Specifically, in a detailed way in this thesis, the last years of the Ottoman Empire, the National Struggle period and the founding years of the Republic of Turkey were discussed. The changes in the administrative, social, cultural and economic structure of Demirci have been examined with local and general lines and tried to be conveyed in this study.The population and administrative development and growth of Demirci are indicated as before and after the period examined,and Municipal services, zoning and public works In the first decade of the Republic, it has been tried to reveal how Demirci became an advanced district and changed it's face. This aims to better understand the different dimensions of the subject.The social, cultural, educational, social and cultural activities we have discussed in a separate chapter have been focused on how the povince can adapt to a new life and how it reaches its current cultural level. The public works and development activities, municipal services and changes in transportation in Demirci district are also studied.The changes and developments in Demirci's economic structure are given
