Pertevniyal Valide Sultan`ın hayatı, hayır işleri ve Aksaray`daki külliyesi

Abstract

Osmanlı Devlet'inde padişah hanımları sahip oldukları gelirleri, toplumu yararına olan hayri hizmetlerde kullanmışlardır. Bu tezin amacı da, Sultan II. Mahmut'un eşi, Sultan Abdülaziz'in annesi Pertevniyal Valide Sultan'ın hayatı, hayır hizmetleri, Aksaray'daki külliyesini çalışmak olmuştur. Özellikle külliyede çalışan görevliler, aldıkları ücretler ile külliyeye gelir sağlayan akarlar hakkında bilgi verilmeye çalışılmış ve Pertevniyal Valide Sultan'ın vakıf ve hayır hizmetleri tespit edilmiştir.

In Ottoman Empire, the wives of the Sultans were spending their incomes for different kind of charity works. The purpose of this is to study about the life story of Pertevniyal Valide Sultan who is wife of Mahmud II and mother of Abdulaziz, the social-complex (Külliye) that she made built in Aksaray. Especially, information on the workers of Kulliye and their salaries, the financial resources of this complex were given and finally we tried to determine the foundations and charities of Pertevniyal Valide Sultan.
