dc.description.abstractTÜRK SİYASİ HAYATINDA İBRAHİM ARVAS ÖZETTürk Siyasi Hayatında İbrahim Arvas (1883-1965)İbrahim Arvas çeşitli idari memurluklarda bulunduktan sonra Birinci Meclis'in kurulmasıyla milletvekilliğine seçilmiştir. 1923-1950 yılları arasında CHP'de sekiz dönem Van ve Hakkari milletvekilliği yapan Arvas, siyasi hayatının özellikle son on yılını doğunun kalkınması, komünizmle mücadele ve din eğitiminin yaygınlaştırılması konularına vermiştir. Arvas'ın hayatını incelerken onun İmam Hatip Okulları ve İlahiyat Fakültesi'nin açılmasındaki çabalarını ele alıp aynı zamanda bu kurumların gelişmesini, meclise sunduğu kanun tekliflerinin mecliste yaptığı etkileri de incelemiş olacağız. Bunun yanında laiklik tartışmalarının en ateşli dönemlerinde Arvas'ın kendine seçtiği pozisyon ve tartışmaların içindeki etkinliği de ele alınmış olacaktır.Anahtar Kelimeler: Arvas, Şeyh, Nakşibendi, Van, İmam Hatip Okulları.
dc.description.abstractİBRAHİM ARVAS IN TURKISH POLITICAL LIFE (1883-1965) ABRACTSIbrahim Arvas, who was the representative of the Naqshbandi in the east Arvas family as a member of the CHP ranks for twenty-seven years in terms of his life and work in the parliament was considered to be a personality worthy of investigation. Arvas has attracted attention not only with the identity of sheikh, but also with the identity of popularity which is highly respected among the people. The political parties' policies of attracting the masses in the east for many years paved the way for Arvas and the sheikhs like him to play a role in politics. Thus, the CHP was able to build a bridge between the eastern people and its support under Van's influence in Van for 27 years.Ibrahim Arvas was appointed as a member of parliament after the establishment of the First Assembly. Between 1923 and 1950, Arvas served as an MP for Van and Hakkari for eight terms in the CHP. He devoted the last ten years of his political life to the development of the east, the fight against communism and the expansion of religious education. While examining Arvas's life, we will examine his efforts in the opening of the Imam Hatip Schools and Theology Faculty and also examine the development of these institutions and the effects of the law proposals submitted to the parliament. In addition, during the hottest periods of secularism debates, Arvas's position and its effectiveness in the debates will be discussed.Key Words: Arvas, Sheikh, Naqshbandi, Van, Imam Hatip Schools.en_US
