Dr. Emel Aközer Haziran 2004, 88 Sayfa Bu tezin amacı mimari tasarımda `dokuz kare grid`in (9KareG) diyagram olarak potansiyelini araştırmaktır. Çalışma içerisinde diyagram, mimarlığın asli elemanlarına (program, stürktür ve bağlam gibi) düzen getiren bir araç olarak açıklanacaktır. 9KareG bu elemanlar arasında potansiyel ilişkiler önermektedir. Farklı mekansal ilişkileri kurgulayabilme potansiyelinden ötürü, bu çalışmada 9KareG'ye bir diyagram olarak yaklaşılacaktır. Çalışma, mimarlık tarihi ve güncel mimari tasarım örnekleri üzerinden 9KareG'nin farklı kullanımlarını araştıracaktır. Bu araştırma 9KareG'yi mimarlığın asli elemanlarına düzen getimek için kullanılan bir tasarım aracı olarak anlamayı sağlayacaktır. The thesis refers to the diagram as a tool for bringing order to the essential elements of architecture (i.e. program, structure and context). It highlights the potential relationships among these elements. In this study, the 9SG is approached as a diagram that has the potential to generate different spatial relations. The thesis investigates different uses of the 9SG in reference to the selected projects from the architectural history and recent architectural practice. This investigation allows understanding the creative use of the 9SG as a design tool for bringing order to the essential elements in architecture.
