Lise öğrencilerinde akran zorbalığının yaygınlığı

Abstract

Akran zorbalığı günümüzde eğitim kurumlarında düşük düzeyde gerçekleşen şiddetin en yaygın biçimi olarak okullarda karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Bu çalışma; lise öğrencilerinde akran zorbalığının yaygınlığı belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırma, Aydın ili Efeler ilçesinde, 2015-2016 Eğitim Öğretim Yılı Güz ve Bahar dönemlerinde liselerin 9., 10., 11., 12. sınıflarında öğrenimine devam eden öğrencilere uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın örneklemini 6776 lise öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Öğrencilerin 3220'si kız, 3556'sı erkek öğrencidir. Çalışmada okullara göre kız ve erkek öğrenciler tabakalı örneklem yöntemine göre ayrılmıştır. Çalışmada sosyo demografik özellikler veri formu ve Akran Zorbalığı Belirleme Ölçeği Ergen Formu kullanılmıştır. Veriler SPSS 21.0 programında analiz edilmiştir. Araştırmada öğrencilerin %47.5'nin kız, %52.5'nin erkek; yaş ortalamalarının 15,94 ± 9.46 olduğu görülmüştür. Çalışmada öğrencilerin, % 32,5'i 9. sınıf, %24,7'si 10. sınıf, % 24,6'i 11.sınıf, %18,2'si 12. sınıftır. Öğrencilerin %22.5'inin zorbalığa maruz kaldığını; %16.2'sinin zorbalık yaptığını ifade etmiştir. Öğrencilerin akran zorbalığı belirleme ölçeği toplam puan ortalamaları ile okul değişkenleri arasında istatistiksel olarak fark belirlenmiştir (p<0,05). Mesleki ve Teknik Liselerde okuyan öğrencilerin diğer okullarda okuyan öğrencilere göre ölçek puan ortalamaları daha yüksek bulunmuştur. Öğrencilerin akran zorbalığı belirleme ölçeği toplam puan ortalamaları ve alt ölçek puan ortalamaları ile başarı not ortalamaları arasında istatiksel olarak fark belirlenmiştir (p<0,05). Başarı puanı 44 ve altı ve sınıf tekrarı yapan öğrencilerde daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Ayrıca zorbalığa maruz kalan öğrencilerin zorbalık davranışı gerçekleştirme durumları arasında istatistiksel olarak fark bulunmuştur (p<0,05). Okullarda zorbalık sorunuyla etkin bir biçimde baş edebilmek gerekir. Bunun için okul müdürü, öğretmen, okul hemşiresi, rehber öğretmenler, öğrenci ve veliler olmak üzere tüm okul personeli ile çevredeki sivil toplum kuruluşlarının desteğini almak ve işbirliği yapmak gereklidir. Ayrıca bu konuda farklı illerde yapılacak çalışmalar önerilmektedir.Anahtar Kelimeler: Akran Zorbalığı, Liselerde Zorbalık

Today, peer bullying is the most common form of violence in educational institutions. This work; The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of peer bullying among high school students. The study was carried out in Efeler district of Aydın province in 2015-2016 academic year, in Fall and Spring semesters, in the 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades of high schools. The sample of the study consists of 6776 high school students. 3220 of the students are female and 3556 are male students. According to schools, female and male students were divided according to stratified sampling method. Socio - demographic characteristics, data form and Peer Bullying Determination Scale were used in the study. Data were analyzed in SPSS 21.0 program.In the research, 47.5% of the students were female and 52.5% were male; The mean age was 15.94 ± 9.46. In the study, 32,5% of the students were in the 9th grade, 24,7% were in the 10th grade, 24,6% were in the 11th grade, 18,2% were in the 12th grade. 22.5% of the students were exposed to bullying and 16.2% of them were bullied. A statistically significant difference was found between the mean total score of the students' peer bullying determination scale and school variables (p<0.05). The mean scores of the students in vocational and technical high schools were found to be higher than the other schools. There was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the students' mean scores and the mean scores of the sub-scale scores of the students (p<0.05). The success score was higher in students who were 44 and under and repeating the grade. In addition, there was a statistically significant difference between bullying behaviors of students exposed to bullying (p <0.05).In schools, it is necessary to effectively deal with the problem of bullying. For this purpose, it is necessary to get the support and cooperation of all school personnel, school principals, teachers, school nurses, counselors, students and parents, as well as non-governmental organizations. In addition, the studies to be carried out in different provinces are recommended.Key Words: Peer Bullying, Bullying İn High Schools
