Afyon Kocatepe Üniversitesi Science Institute June 2000 Counsellor: Prof. Dr. Galip SAİD j In this study, it was in vistigated that semi-value stones can be polished by using abrasiv in the prism shaped tumbling machine using different kind of metarials. For experments, semi-value stones of different samples opal, kalsedon, agav and oniks have been collected around Afyon. 5 kilogrammes of capacity stone hexagonal prism shaped tumbling machine has been designed and produced. In the laboratuary collected samples, have been processed in 5-7 clays of period and four step operation. These make or let pass processes are included coarse grind, intermediate or fine grind, prepolish, polish. Result of this study the semi-value stones which are found around Afyon can easily polish with hexagonal prism shaped tumbling machine. | |
