Ülkemizdeki üç konservatuvarda kullanılan solfej materyallerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Mevcut solfej eğitimi, müzikal işitmenin bazı yönlerini geliştirmektedir. Eğitmenler pratik faaliyetlerinde çeşitli zorluklarla karşı karşıyadırlar. Bunun sonucunda tarihsel, teorik ve metodolojik solfej eğitiminin yanı sıra bütünsel bir yaklaşımın gerekliliği de ortaya çıkar.Solfej eğitimi, profesyonel müzisyen yetiştirmeyi ve genel müzik eğitimi ile becerilerini geliştirmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Solfej eğitiminin amaçlarını özetleyecek olursak; ileri düzey müzik bilgisine sahip olan, çalacağı ya da okuyacağı eseri analiz edebilen ve dinlediği eseri zihninde canlandırabilen müzisyenler yetiştirmektir. Bu bağlamda solfej öğretim yöntemleri önem taşımaktadır. Oysa ki günümüzde konservatuvarlardaki solfej eğitiminde karşılaşılan sorunların metodolojik olarak çözümü istenilen boyutta değildir.Geleneksel olan örnek okuma materyalleri, çoğunlukla 16. yüzyıldan 19. yüzyıla kadar olan tonal parçaları içermektedir. Bu durum, öğrencilerin 20. yüzyıldan günümüze kadar olan süreç içerisindeki eserlerin seslendirilmesinde gerek ritmik gerekse müzikal açıdan birtakım sorunlar yaşanmasına neden olmaktadır. Bu da bizlere; müzik literatürünün incelenmesinin, metotların detaylandırılmasının, bunların geliştirilmesi için de farklı ve yeni yollar aranmasının gerekliliğini göstermiştir. Bu gereklilikten yola çıkarak, solfej eğitiminin tarihi incelenmiş; Avrupa, Rusya ve Uzak Doğu'da kullanılan solfej öğretim metotları, Türkiye'deki solfej eğitiminin tarihçesi ve üç konservatuvarda kullanılan solfej materyalleri incelenmiştir.

Solfege education has an essential role to develop wide range of skills of musicians and in general, traditional methods are mostly to be preferred.As to the historical view, major institutions in Turkey use those traditional methods of solfege education; specially, the French school is the most common tradition among others. In this study, those specific methods are researched under the scope of solfege education in Turkey.Before examining the solfege materials, the definition of solfege, development of music writing and its influences on Western music are determined within the scope of Turkey's historical periods in the context of solfege education. After an overview of current teaching methods used in Europe and then in the world, solfege education has been categorized as pre/post Republic periods in Turkey.As core of the investigations to define the methods used in the solfege education in Turkey, the most established two art institutions; Hacettepe University State Conservatory, Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University State Conservatory and Mersin University which has an important place in the Çukurova region, are choosen. Besides, to reach a global perspective on the topic, historical usage of the methods in Turkey is discussed comparetively.As a result of the research on these specific instutitions, variety of materials are seen to be part of their solfege education. Such as the new methods as well as the classical literature from France, traditional methods from Russia and methods origin in Turkey and World music. At the final stage of the search, the effects and possible outcomes of the use of single and multiple methods on students are also evaluated through the interviews with academics and artists.
