Abstract
- 55 - SUMMARY Türkiye became acquainted with movies in the year 1896. The first educational establishment; Turkish Film and Television Institute, announced that their aim was to fiil the noticeaby vacant spaces of technical men and craftmen in the trade, seting the standards for other schools to follow. Excessive student demand on schools and financial & technical impossibilities involved in applied education of the arts are the two most important problems in the proper education of Film-TV field. Hovvever, Mimar Sinan University School of Arts, in the field of television and movies and- Anadolu University School of Communication, in the field of television, have the required technical foundations for education in these fields. Graduates of these fields have started to establish their posts in the Turkish film and television sectors. These posts however differ from education programme and facilities presented to them in school and their own skills. l believe that there would be a rapid increase in the number of people vvorking in this field should the educational programme and applied education were non-static and were prepared taking the rapidly changing age into consideration.- 55 - SUMMARY Türkiye became acquainted with movies in the year 1896.
