M. Rauf`un yaşamı ve eserleri üzerine bir araştırma

Abstract

İsim benzerliği ve faaliyet sahalarının aynı olması nedeniyle Eylül yazarı Mehmet Rauf ile Ferik Âtıf Paşa'nın oğlu M. Rauf birçok araştırmacı tarafından karıştırılmaktadır. m. Rauf, başta Resimli Kitap dergisi olmak üzere Donanma, Şehbâl, Şelâle ve Servet-i Fünûn dergilerinde yazılar yayınlarken Eylül yazarı ile karıştırılmamak için ilk ismi olan Mehmet'i Arap alfabesindeki 'mim' harfi ile kısaltarak göstermişse de bu yanlışa düşürülmekten kurtulamamıştır. İşte yüksek lisans tez çalışmamız tam da bu yanlışı düzeltmeyi ve gayet başarılı eserler veren M. Rauf'u edebiyat camiasına ana hatları ile tanıtmayı hedeflemektedir.Yaptığı çevirilerden sekiz – dokuz dil bilen iyi bir tercüman olduğunu anladığımız M. Rauf başarılı bir şair, güçlü ve mantıklı bir münekkit, hevesli bir hikayeci ve tiyatroyu iyi bilen bir oyun yazarıdır. Darülfûnun'da verdiği Yunan Edebiyatı Tarihi, İtalyan Edebiyatı Tarihi ve Mitoloji derslerinden arda kalan kıymetli kitaplar onun bu alanlarda da son derece başarılı olduğunu göstermektedir. M. Rauf 6. sayısından itibaren başmuharrirlik görevini üstlendiği Resimli Kitap dergisinin ilk sayısında Marmara'ya Karşı isimli bir şiir yayınlar. Bu şiir tespit edebildiğimiz kadarı ile ona âit ilk edebî eserdir. Daha ilk eserinden nasıl bir edebiyat anlayışına sahip olduğu noktasında bizlere ipucu veren M. Rauf Servet-i Fünûn'daki tenkidî yazıları ile edebiyatın amacının ne olduğunu izah eden poetik yazılar yazmıştır. Üç bölümden oluşan çalışmamızın ilk kısmı onun hayatını, tahsilini, görevlerini, ailesini ve tanınmasında etkili olan dergileri açıklarken ikinci kısım dergilerde yayımlanan eserlerinden yola çıkarak şair, hikayeci, oyun yazarı ve münekkit M. Rauf' u anlatmaktadır. Tezin üçüncü bölümünde M. Rauf' a âit olan tüm eserler kronolojik sıra gözetilerek verilmiştir

Due to the similarity of the name and the field of activity, M. Rauf, the son of Mehmed Rauf and Ferik Âtıf Pasha, the author of Eylül, is confused by many researchers. He published articles in Resimli Kitap, Donanma, Şehbâl, Şelâle and Servet-i Fünûn. Inorder not to be confused with the author of Eylül, his first name was given only with the letter 'mim' de in the Arabic alphabet, but he could not avoid being dropped. Ourmaster's the sis study aims to jusify this errorand to introduce M. Rauf to the literature community. M. Rauf is a successful poet with eight to nine languages. The history of Greek Literature, The history of Italian Literature, and the precious boks left by the Mythology lessons in Darülfûnun show that he is very successful in these fields. M. Rauf published a poem titled Marmara‟ya Karşı in the first issue of Resimli Kitap magazine, where he took up the duty of chief offender from the 6th issue. This poem is the first literary work that we can identify with it. In his first work, he wrote poetical writings which explained the purpose of literature with his critiques on M. Rauf Servet-i Fünûn, who gave us a hint about how he had a literary understanding. The first part of our study, which consists of three parts, explains his life, his education, his duties, his family and the journals that are effective in his recognition. The second part is based on the works published in journals, the poet, the storyteller, the playwright, and the discontent M. Rauf. In the third part of the thesis, all works belonging to M. Rauf were given chronologically.
