Türkiye`de sinagog mimarisi ve Edirne Büyük Sinagogu

Abstract

ÖZETBu çalışmada yaklaşık 40 asırlık geçmişleriyle dünya tarihinde en eskimilletlerden olma özelliğini taşıyan Yahudi toplumunun tarihi, etnikbölünmeleri ve kültürü irdelenerek, toplumun yaşam biçimini ve diniözelliklerini yansıtan sinagogların mimari gelişimi ve Türkiye'deki sinagogmimarisi incelenmiştir.Birinci bölümde, Yahudiler'in tarih boyunca yaşadıkları sürgünler ve göçlernedeniyle Dünya'nın her yanına dağılmalarıyla oluşan Yahudi diasporası veYahudi tarihi ;İkinci bölümde, tarihi süreç içinde Yahudi toplumundaki etnik bölünmeler ;Üçüncü bölümde 1492 sürgünüyle Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'na göç eden vehala ülkemizde yaşayan Türkiye Yahudileri'nin tarihi ve yaşam biçimleri;Dördüncü bölümde, yaşam biçimleri, beslenme kuralları, inanç veibadetleriyle Yahudi kültürü;Beşinci bölümde, Tapınak Kavramı'nın Yahudi toplumundaki önemiincelenmiştir.Altıncı bölümde, Antik Çağ Sinagoglarından başlayarak sinagogmimarisindeki gelişim gözden geçirilmiş, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu'nda sinagogmimarisini etkileyen unsurlar saptanarak sinagog mimarisi incelenmiş,Türkiye Cumhuriyeti sınırları içinde saptanabilen sinagogların oluşturduğu birkatalog hazırlanmıştır.IYedinci bölümde, günümüze kadar ulaşamamış Edirne Sinagoglarısaptanmış, bu yapıların yok olması üzerine inşa edilmiş olan Edirne BüyükSinagogu'nun tarihi, konumu, mimari özellikleri ve yapıdaki bozulmalar tespitedilmiş, yapının zarar görmeden önceki haline ait belgelere ulaşılmayaçalışılmış, bu araştırmaların ışığında yapının rölövesi ve restitüsyon projesihazırlanmıştır.ANAHTAR KELİMELER :Yahudi Kültürü, Tapınak Mimarisi, Sinagog Mimarisi, EdirneII

SUMMARYIn this study, the history, ethnic divisions and culture of the Jewish societybearing the characteristic of being one of the oldest nations in the world?shistory with their approximately 40-centuries-old past are discussed and thearchitectural progress of synagogues reflecting the lifestyle and religiouscharacteristics of the community and the synagogue architecture in Turkeyare analyzed.In the first chapter, the Jewish diaspora created due to spreading all over theworld of Jews due to exiles and migrations they have gone through throughhistory and Jewish history.In the second chapter, the ethnic divisions in the Jewish society during thehistoric process;In the third chapter, the history and lifestyles of Turkish Jews who immigratedto Ottoman Empire by 1492 exile and who are still living in our country;In the fourth chapter, the Jewish culture with their lifestyles, eating rules,beliefs and religious rituals;In the fifth chapter, the significance of the Concept of Temple in Jewishcommunity are discussed;In the sixth chapter, the progress in synagogue architecture starting fromantique era synagogues is reviewed, synagogue architecture is analyzed,determining the elements affecting the synagogue architecture in OttomanEmpire is analyzed and a catalogue comprising the synagogues which couldbe determined within the borders of Republic of Turkey is prepared.IIn the seventh chapter, Edirne synagogues which could not survive to ourday are determined; the history, position, architectural properties and buildingdeteriorations of Edirne Grand Synagogue which was built upon destructionof these buildings are determined, attempts were made to access documentson the state of the building before it was damaged and the measureddrawings and restitution drawings of the building are prepared in the light ofthis research.II
