Abstract

Küçük ve Orta Boylu ?sletmeler (KOB?), 1970'li yıllarda yasanan ekonomik krizlerve Fordist üretim sistemindeki dönüsümler sonucu öne çıkmıs ve 21. yüzyılın enyaygın isletme türü haline gelmistir. Bu isletmeler ekonomik krizlere karsı dayanıklıolma, yeni is yaratma, müsteri taleplerine karsı duyarlı olma ve esnek üretimgerçeklestirme özellikleri ile hemen her ülke tarafından desteklenmektedir.Günümüzde kayıt dısı istihdam, ülkelerin isgücü piyasaları ve ekonomik yapılarıüzerinde olumsuz sonuçlar yarattığı için çözülmesi gereken bir sorun olarak kabuledilmektedir. KOB?'ler ise ekonomik sistemler üzerinde yarattığı olumlu etkilererağmen bazı yapısal özellikleri sebebi ile kayıt dısı ekonomiye ve kayıt dısıistihdama kaynaklık etmektedirler.Bu çalısmanın amacı KOB?'ler ile kayıt dısı istihdam arasındaki iliskinin ortayaçıkarılmasıdır. Bu sebeple çalısmanın ilk bölümünde KOB?'ler, ikinci bölümünde isekayıt dısı istihdam kavramları incelenmistir. Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs), became prominent due to theeconomic crisis in 1970s and the transformations in the Fordist manufacturingsystem and became the most common establishment type in the 21st century. Thesefirms, with the abilities of being durable against economic crisis, creating new jobs,being sensitive to clients' demands and performing flexible manufacturing, aresupported by almost all of the countries.Today, since the informal employment creates negative results upon countries?labour market and economic structure, it is accepted that this is a problem that mustbe solved. SMEs however, despite their positive effects on the economic systems,because of the some of their structural characteristics; are the sources for theinformal economy and informal employment.This study?s aim is to reveal the connection between the SMEs and informalemployment. For that reason, in the first part of the study, SMEs and in the secondpart the informal employment is analyzed. And in the third and the last part of thestudy is analyzed the connection between SMEs and informal employment.KEY WORDS : INFORMAL EMPLOYMENT, SMALL AND MEDIUM S?ZEDENTERPRISES
