Hipertiroidide plazma ve eritrosit lipit bileşimi ve lipit peroksidasyonu

Abstract

Çalışmamızda yeni tanı konmuş ve henüz tedavi görme miş, hipertiroidi dışında başka bir endokrinolojik veya sistemik hastalığı bulunmayan 32 hipertiroidili hastada plazma ve eritrosit lipit peroksit düzeyleri incelendi. Ay- rica, plazma ve eritrosit lipitleri ile eritrosit glutat- yon düzeyleri belirlendi. Elde edilen sonuçlar 25 kişiden oluşan kontrol grubunun sonuçları ile karşılaştırıldı. Bulgularımıza göre; a) Hipertiroidili hastalarda plazma lipit peroksit düzey lerinin arttığı bulundu. b) Plazma kolesterol ve fosfolipit düzeylerinin azaldığı, trigliserit düzeylerinin değişmediği saptandı. c) H2O2 ile uyarmalı eritrosit lipit peroksit düzeylerinin hipertiroidili hastalarda arttığı görüldü. d) Eritrosit kolesterol ve fosfolipit düzeyleri ile eritro sit glutatyon düzeylerinde bir değişiklik olmadığı bu lundu. Bu sonuçlar, hipertiroidili hastalarda plazma ve erit rosit lipit peroksit düzeylerinin arttığını ve bu artışın plazma ve eritrosit lipitleri ile eritrosit glutatyon düzey lerindeki değişiklikten kaynaklanmadığını göstermektedir.

- 31 - SUMMARY We have investigated the plasma and erythrocyte li pid peroxide levels in newly diagnosed and untreated hy perthyroid- patients without any other endocrinological or systemic illness. Plasma and erythrocyte lipids and eryth rocyte glutathione levels were also determined. The results were compared to those of control group consisting of 25 healthy subjects. According to our findings; a) Plasma lipid peroxide levels of hyperthyroid patients were found to be increased. b) Plasma cholesterol and phospholipid levels were de creased and triglyceride levels were found unchanged. c) H2O2- induced erythrocyte lipid peroxide levels of hyper thyroid patients were increased. d) Erythrocyte cholesterol and phospholipid levels and erythrocyte glutathione levels were not altered. These results show that plasma and erythrocyte lipid peroxide levels of hyperthyroid patients have increased and that this increase is not related to the change in erythro cyte lipid and glutathione levels.
