Abstract
Her üç örneğin de alkol - benzen ve alkol ekstrelerinin oldukça asidik olduğu belirlenmiştir Alkol- benzen ve alkol ile ekstrakte edilmiş odun örneklerinde soğuk su, sıcak su ve 0.1M CEBCOONa da pH tayini yapılmış ve elde edilen sonuçların ekstrakte edilmemiş oduna göre çok düşük olduğu tespit edilmiştir. vm ABSTRACT AN INSPECTION ABOUT THE IMPORTANT BEECH AND OAK SPECIES ACIDITY This study reviews pH values, bound and free acidities of woods of the Quercus frainetto and Fagus sylvatica trees grown in the Belgrad Forest in terms of heartwood and sapwood layers, quantities of their acid contents in terms of mili equivalent mole, their moisture pH values, contribute of the extractive materials and main compounds of the woods to the acidity, and pH values of extractive materials dissolving in alcohol-benzene and alcohol. Furthermore, a number of pH measurement methods were employed, and compared with each other. It was found out that the species of wood studied herein have acidic character, Oak heartwood is the most acidic, followed by Oak sapwood and Beech respectively. Furthermore, the pH values of the alcohol-benzene and alcohol extracts of these species were reviewed, and found to be similar to pH values of the woods. It was found out that the alcohol-benzene and alcohol extracts of the three samples are quite acidic. pH values of wood samples extracted with alcohol-benzene and alcohol were measured by employing the cold water, hot water and 0. 1 M CHsCOONa methods, and it was found out that the results are much lower those of the non-extracted woods.
