Abstract
ABSTRACT `Investigation of Gravity Density Distrubition in Hatay Area` In this study, power spectrum method was applied to the gravity anomaly caused by the underground topograpy and the avarage depth was calculated. By taking this depth in to accont, using inverse solution method, topography which causes underground anomaly was modelled. Inverse solution methods were discussed by using the power spectrum analyse theory and filtering which must be applied before modelling. In this study, underground topography which causes an anomaly was presented with many vertical prisms and this method's applicability was proved by appliying it to theoritical models. Cutting wave number was found as 0.05 (cycle/data interval) by using the fourier spectrum method applied to cross sections which were taken from the gravity map. A filter which has a 0.05 (cycle/data interval)cutting wave number was applied to gravity map. Power spectrum method was applied to A-B cross section taken from the rejyonal map and underground topography's avarage depth was found approximately as 3 km. After these calculations, using inverse solution method the most shallow and the deepest depths of underground topography were found as 710 m.and 4240 m. respectively.
