Abstract
As a result of field research under the light of information from the literature andcollection materials, from 6 families, 99 species of diurnal butterfly have beendiscovered in the land of Republic of Moldova. A butterfly species called Polyommatusthersites Cant. from Lycaenidae family registered for the first time in the fauna ofRepublic of Moldova.Quantitative analysis of daytime butterfly fauna Rhopalocera relative to the totalnumber of 84.55%, it is provided the dominating species (60 species) of daytimebutterfly of Republic of Moldova. The most common types of 9 evribiont whichconstitutes the basis of the fund complex: Colias hyale L., Issoria lathonia L., Maniolajurtina L., Melitaea aurelia Nick., Pieris napi L., P. Rapae L., Plebejus argus L.,Pontia edusa F., and Pyrgus malvae L.Forests are the most species-rich habitats by the number and diversity of daytimebutterflies (93 species). From Zoogeographic perspective the base of daytimebutterflies fauna of Republic of Moldova, according to longitudinal component of thehabitat types, constitute the richest 5 out of 9 zoogeographical group as the number ofbutterflies. These aspects of the overall nominal latitude Eurasia groups: Eurasia(44,44%), Westpalearctic (16,16%), Palearctic (13,13%), Europa (10,1%) and Holarctic(7,07%).Daytime butterflies, trophic relationships analysis of immature stages of development(obligatory and facultative herbivores) has enabled us to identify two major trophicgroups. The vast majority of species has features of phytophagous. So they feed on avariety of host plants. Butterflies were divided into three groups according to Nutrition:polyphagous 22, Oliphagous 62 and Monophagous 15 species. The analysis of trophicrelationship of butterfly caterpillars eating plants living in the territory of the Republicof Moldova, showed that angiosperm plants belong to 30 different families.Among the phenological groups, the most numerous ones are: summer, the earlysummer monovolt and the spring and summer bivolt groups. The list of 50-day butterfly species, which is rare and under threat in the territory of theRepublic of Moldova, as well as a added or proposed to add to the new edition of theRed Book of the Republic of Moldova is prepared. They belong to the family Pieridae(Leptide morsei Fent.), 1 species in the status of the rarity category LC, EN category of7 species, 6 species in the category VU, LC category of species 1 in 6 species and 1species in DD category. Bern Convention includes seven species in Appendix II file andNo. 92/43 CEE European Council Directive on the conservation of natural habitats andAnnex II-IV file has been incorporated into the 5 species of daytime butterflies. 31butterfly species have been recorded to the National Operational Checklist, which is notincluded in other Red List. Two types of Lycaenida family (Glaucopsyche alexis Poda.,Lycaena dispar Haw.) was recommended to be included in the National OperationsList.
