Abstract
The department of radiology is one of the most important and crowded section of the hospital. At present, it is rare for a patient to have a diagnosis in the hospital without having an examination in the radiology department, which contains several devices such as the X-ray device, ultrasound device, computer tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, fluoroscope, and mammography. However, radiology devices lead to problems, health effects on the human body and malfunction in the genetic makeup of the cell, which is very harmful and may even reach death in cases of exposure to large doses of radiation. This increased risk has made the world care more about health issues, occupational health, the safety of workers and safety of patients. The aim of this research is to focus on occupational health and safety assessment of radiology departments of hospitals by evaluating the hazards in the hospitals using Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
