Kayseri`de öğrencilerin ilköğretimden ortaöğretime geçişinde sosyo-ekonomik faktörlerin etkisi

Abstract

KAYSERİ'DE İLKÖĞRETİMDEN ORTAÖĞRETİME GEÇİŞTE SOSYOEKONOMİK FAKTÖRLERİN ETKİSİ Bu araştırma, Kayseri İli'nde ilköğretimden ortaöğretime geçişte sosyo-ekonomik faktörlerin etkisini ortaya çıkarmak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Kayseri İli Kocasinan ve Melikgazi merkez ilçelerinde bulunan ilköğretim sekizinci sınıf ve ortaöğretim birinci sınıf öğrencileri oluşturmuştur. İlköğretim sekizinci sınıflardan 491 öğrenci ile ortaöğretim birinci sınıflardan 1302 öğrenci örneklem grubunu oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veri toplama amacıyla iki ayrı anket uygulanmıştır. Çoktan seçmeli ve açık uçlu sorulardan oluşan anketlerin her biri 46 maddeden oluşmaktadır. Anketlerden elde edilen verilerin analizinde SPSS paket programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda, sosyo-ekonomik bakımdan yüksek düzeyde olan ilköğretim sekizinci sınıf öğrencilerinin fen liselerine, anadolu liselerine ve özel liselere yöneldikleri, sosyo-ekonomik yönden düşük düzeyde olan ilköğretim sekizinci sınıf öğrencilerinin ise genel liselere, anadolu meslek liselerine ve mesleki teknik liselere yöneldikleri görülmüştür. Ortaöğretim birinci sınıfa devam eden öğrencilerden fen liselerine, anadolu liselerine ve özel liselere gidenlerin sosyo-ekonomik düzeylerinin, genel liselere, anadolu meslek liselerine ve mesleki teknik liselere gidenlerin sosyo ekonomik düzeylerinden yüksek olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular sonucunda, anne babanın tahsil durumunun, anne babanın mesleklerinin, ailenin gelir düzeyinin, ailenin çocuklarına sundukları imkanların, öğrencinin cinsiyetinin, kardeş sayısının ve kardeşlerin okudukları ortaöğretim okul türlerinin öğrencinin ortaöğretime geçişinde etkili olduğu görülmüştür. AFFECT OF SOCIOECONOMIC FACTORS IN TRANSITION FROM PRIMARY EDUCATION TO SECONDARY EDUCATION TO SECONDARY EDUCATION IN THE KAYSERİ CITY This study had been done to define the affects of socioeconomic factors in transition from primary school to secondary school in the Kayseri City. The space of this study covered by the students in the central districts of Kayseri City named as Melikgazi and Kocasinan studying at 8th class of primary school and 1st class of secondary school. The sampling group established by 491 students 8 th class from primary schools and 1302 students 1 st class from secondary schools. In the study it was applied two different questionnaires for the purpose_of collecting data. One of the questionnaires is for 8 th class of primary schools and the other one is for the 1 st class of secondary schools in the questioners_the questions are asked to indicate the socioeconomic factors in preferring the secondary school of the students. Each question are consif of 46 questions in test from and open ended from. In analyse of the data collected from the questionnaires SPSS packet programme is used. As a result of the research, it has been seen that the 8 th class students who are socio- economically in high status tend to go to science high schools, Anatolian high schools and private high schools whereas the ones who are socio-economically in low status tend to go to state high schools, Anatolian vocational high schools and vocational technical high schools. It occurred that the socio-economic level of the students who are in the 1 st class of the secondary education in science. Anatolian and private high schools is higher than the level of the ones who are in state, Anatolian vocational and vocational technical high schools. As a result of the findings, it has been seen that the education and the profession of the parents, the income level of the family, the opportunities that the parents provide to their children, the sex of the student, the number of brothers/sisters and the secondary education type of the brothers/sisters are the factors that influence students passing to secondary education.
