Levinas`ta fenomenoloji ve başkalık

Abstract

İnsanın dünyada başka insanlarla bir arada olmasının anlamı nedir? Ben, kendine yabancı olan başkasını nasıl kavrar ve onunla nasıl bir ilişkiye girer? Bu ilişkiler ağı sonucunda oluşan toplumsallığının etik ve metafizik açıdan bir incelemesi mümkün müdür? Emmanuel Levinas, 20. yüz yılın en çalkantılı dönemi olan İkinci Dünya Savaşı sırasında bu meseleleri ele almış Yahudi kökenli Fransız filozoftur. Fenomenolojik gelenekten miras aldığı düşünceyi, bu soruları cevaplamak için bir yol olarak benimsemiş ve etik temelli felsefesine doğru yol almıştır. Bu çalışmada Edmund Husserl'le başlayan fenomenolojik yöntemin, Martin Heidegger tarafından potansiyellerinin keşfedilmesiyle Levinas'ın önüne açılan etik alanın imkanı meselesi ele alınmıştır. What is the meaning of 'man' being together with other people in the world? How can the 'I' perceive and connect to the other who is a total stranger to its own self? Is it possible to examine the sociability which emerges as a consequence of this web of relationships from an ethical and metaphysical point of view? Emmanuel Levinas is a French philosopher from Jewish origin who dealt with these issues in the process of the Second World War which is one of the most turbulent eras of 20th century. He adopted the ideas which he inherited from phenomenological tradition as a method to answer these questions and moved towards his ethical-based philosophy. In this research, the possibility of ethical realm which shows itself to Levinas after the potentials of phenomenological method -which started with Edmund Husserl- was discovered by Heidegger is being analyzed. While doing this, concepts are being approached within the problem of ethical transformation of phenomenology.Keywords: phenomenology, intentionality, Levinas, alterity, other, desire, infinity, ethics, face.
