Mütercim Âsım Efendi hayatı (1755 - 1819) ve Târîh-i Âsım`da Fransa meselesi

Abstract

Bu çalışma vakanüvis Mütercim Ahmed Âsım Efendi'nin (ö. 1819) hayatını ve Târîh-i Âsım eserinde Fransa'ya olan bakışını ele almayı amaçlamıştır. Çalışma iki ana bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde Âsım Efendi'nin hayatı ve tarih düşüncesi incelenmiştir. Bu bölümde, Âsım Efendi'nin doğup büyüdüğü yerler incelenmiş olmakla beraber, yetişmiş olduğu çevrenin, kişiliğine olan etkisine de değinilmiştir. İkinci bölümde Âsım Efendi'nin Fransa'ya olan bakışı Târîh-i Âsım esas alınarak incelenmiş ve Âsım Efendi'nin tarih düşüncesi temel alınarak onun Osmanlı-Fransa ilişkilerine tarihi hadiseler ışığında nasıl baktığı değerlendirilmiştir.Anahtar Sözcükler: Mütercim Ahmed Âsım Efendi, Fransa, Napoleon, AbdurrahimMuhib Efendi, Fransız İhtilali, Mısır'ın İşgali.

This work aims to deal with the life of Mütercim Ahmed Âsım Efendi and his perspective to France issue in the Târîh-i Âsım. The work consists of two main chapters. In first chapter, life of Âsım Efendi and his idea of history will be studied. In second chapter, Âsım Efendi's perspective to France state will be studied on the ground on Târîh-i Âsım. In first chapter, his life will be studied, the places where Âsım Efendi was born and grown will be examine, as well as the effects of the places, where he grown, to his character will be mentioned. In the second chapter, how he looks the relations of Ottoman-France in the lights of historical events will be studied on the ground of Âsım Efendi's idea of history.Key words: Ahmed Âsım Efendi, France, Napoleon, Abdurrahim Muhib Efendi, TheFrench Revolution, The Occupation of Egypt.
