Abstract

ÖZETSiverek geçmişten günümüze bölgedeki özel bir yerdir. Siverek'in önemi veözelliği onun tarih, coğrafya ve kültüründen gelmektedir. Siverek birçok kadimmedeniyetin yurdu olmuş ve bünyesinde birçok din ve mezhebi barındırmıştır.Siverek topraklarında birbirinden farklı halklar barış içerisinde yaşamış ve örf veadetlerin oluşumunda bu halkların etkileri olmuştur. Maalesef böyle önemli ve özelbir yer üzerine akedemik çalışmalar fazlaca yapılmamış, yapılan çalışmalar dagenellikle Türkçe yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı Kürt diliyle bu boşluğudoldurmaktır. Bu çalışma Siverek yöresindeki geçiş ritüelleri üzerinedir. Buçalışmayla geçiş ritüelleri etrafında kümelenen örf ve adetlerin derlenmesi, gelecekkuşaklara aktarılması ve Siverek'in bölgedeki kendine has kültürünün ortayaçıkarılması istenmiştir. Bu amaca ulaşmak için Siverek merkez ve 11 köyünde alançalışması yapılmıştır. Elde edilen bilgilere göre geçiş ritleri etrafında kümelenen örfve adetler konularına göre sınıflandırılıp değerlendirilmiştir. Bu çalışma sonucundaritlerin rol ve fonksiyonlarının hem ferd hem de toplum üzerinde etkili olduklarıgörülmüştür. Bu örf ve adetler sayesinde toplumun üyelerinin aitlik duygularıylabirbirine bağlandıkları ve bunun da toplumu bir arada tuttuğu görülmüştür. Siverekhalkı da bu aitlik duygularıyla Kürt toplumu içerisinde özel bir yerdedir.Anahtar Sözcükler: Siverek, Örf ve Adet, Rit, Kültür, Toplum.

ABSTRACTSêwreg has a special place in the region from the past until today. Theimportance and speciality of Sêwreg comes from its history, geography and culture.Sêwreg has been a host for many ancient civilizations and has contained in itselfmany religions and sects. In the land of Sêwreg people of different origins has livedtogether in peace and they have affected the existence of traditions and customs.There are traces and colours of many religions, people and civilizations in thebackground of each tradition and custom. Unfortunately there are not enoughacademic studies about such a special and important place and the existent studiesare mostly in Turkish language. The aim of this study is to fill the gap of the studiesin Kurdish Kurmanji. The study is about the rites of passage in the region of Sêwreg.With this study we wanted to collect traditions and customs which belong to the ritesof passage category, to transfer them to the new generations and to make known thespecial culture of Sêwreg among the region. In order to succeed this aim, in Sêwregcity center and in its 11 villages field works were carried out. In accordance withobtained data, the traditions and customs belonging to the rites of passage wereclassified in terms of their subjects and were analysed. As a result of this study, itwas seen that the function and roles of rites have an impact both on the individualsand on the society. It was observed that, due to these traditions and customs membersof the society are attached to each other with the sense of belonging and this factunites the society. People of Sêwreg, with this sense of belonging, have a uniqueplace in the Kurdish society.Keywords: Sêwreg, Traditions and Customs, Rite, Culture, Society.
