Nafi Atuf KANSU`nun Türk Eğitim Tarihindeki Yeri

Abstract

Eğitim tarihi, Türk tarih araştırmaları arasında her zaman biraz gölgede kalmıştır. ülkemizde ki tarih algısı ve anlayışının daha çok siyasi ve askeri düzlemlerde irdelenmesinin de bunda kaçınılmaz etkisi vardır. Osmanlı'dan Cumhuriyete, iki dönemi kapsayan bir çalışmanın genel çerçevesi, çalışmanın içeriğini son derece etkilemektedir. Özellikle 1950'den sonra eğitim tarihinin okul müfredatlarından çıkarılmaya başlanması ile bu alana olan ilginin azaldığı söylenebilir. Tarihin bütünlük anlayışı içinde böyle bir durumun mazimizi yeterince aydınlatamayacağı ortadadır. Tüm bu olumsuzluklara rağmen bu alanda çok kıymetli eserler verilmiştir. Bu çalışmada ise ülkemizin imparatorluktan, milli devlet hüviyetine geçiş sürecinde eğitim tarihinin aldığı yolu ve bu yolda önemli hizmetleri olan 'Nafi Atuf Kansu' nun hayatı tezin temel noktasını oluşturmaktadır. Bu geçiş evresi, zengin bir mirasla yeniden inşa edilen yapının Anadolu coğrafyasının sosyal-kültürel çekişmelerine ve kaynaşmalarına tanıklık etmiştir. Nafi Atuf Kansu, Mülkiye mezunu olmasına rağmen hayatının her döneminde eğitim ve kültür faaliyetleriyle ve görevleriyle iç içe olmuştur. Özellikle gençlik yılları eğitim camiasına fikir ve zemin kazandıran çalışmalarıyla doludur. Hem idari hem bir mürebbi olarak hizmetlerine siyasi hayata dahil olana kadar devam etmiştir. Milletvekili olarak uzun süre politikanın içinde bulunan Nafi Atuf Kansu hiçbir zaman eğitim camiasından uzak kalmamıştır. Devam eden görevleri ve yazdığı eserler bunun kanıtıdır. O'nun hakkında birçok şey söylenebilir fakat önde gelen hizmetleri arasında eğitime kazandırdığı yeni bakış açılarını ifade etmek yerinde olacaktır. öte yandan, mütevazi karakteri, çocuklara olan derin muhabbeti ve eserleri ile eğitim tarihimizde mühim bir yeri vardır.

History of Education has always kept in the background among Turkish History resources. The fact that the perception and understanding of history in our country is examined more in the political-military planes is inevitable. From the Ottoman Empire to the Republic, The general framework of a work that covers two periods strongly influences the content of the work.Especially after 1950, the interest in this area has decreased with the start of the education history being removed from the school curricula.Such a situation in the sense of history as a whole can not sufficiently illuminate our past. Despite all these negativities, very valuable works has been given in this area. in this study, the way the history of our country receives in the process of transition from empire to national state identity and the life of 'Nafi Atuf Kansu', which is an important service on this way has been discussed.This transitional phase has been witnessed the social-cultural conflicts and fusions of the Anatolian geography that witnessed a new formation with the legacy that had survived.Nafi Atuf Kansu has always been involved in educational and cultural activities of every period of his life, even though he is a graduate of the Mulkiye.Especially his youthful years are filled with the work that gives the education community ideas and grounds.Both as an administrator and a savior, He has continued to his services until he was involved in political life.As a deputy, Nafi Atuf Kansu, who has been in politics for a long time, has never left the field of education. His ongoing missions and his writings at that time are proof of this. Many things can be said about him. But the most important aspects have constituted an important place in the history of education with his new educational perspectives, his humble character, his deep love for children.
