In this study, 50 healthy and 50 diseased cattle with Brucellosis were searched to identify serum ALT, AST, GGT, 5?NT and LAP enzyme activities.Blood samples were taken from both groups and fresh serum extracted from blood samples were used to measure ALT, AST and GGT enzyme activities through spectrofotometric method by using commercial laboratory assays. Serum samples maintained at ?20oC were used for determination of LAP enzyme activity through spectrofotometric method and also for determination of 5?NT enzyme activity through the method specified by Sakai et al. by using HPLC. Student?s t test was used for statistical analysis. In the first group of 50 clinically healthy cattle, ALT, AST, GGT, LAP and 5?NT serum activity levels were measured as 44±11,57 U/L, AST; 102,51±18,31 U/L, GGT; 12,47±2,56U/L, LAP; 18,89±2,58 U/L, 5?NT; 5,32±1,98 U/L. However measurements found in the second group of 50 cattle diseased with Brucellosis were ALT; 137,84±21,98 U/L, AST; 196,23±36,37 U/L, GGT; 60,85±14,27U/L, LAP; 66,54±8,89 U/L, 5?NT; 25,13±2,88 U/L.Comparing the measurements of the first healthy group with that of the second diseased group, revealed that the differences were statistically significant (p<0,01).en_US
