dc.description.abstractBu çalõşmada Kura-Aras Havzasõndan Orthrias angorae (Steindachner, 1897) (Fam:Balitoridae)nõn kromozomlarõnõn sayõ ve yapõlarõ incelenerek, karyotip analiziyapõlmõştõr. Bu çalõşmada kullanõlan balõklar Kars ilindeki Kars Çayõndan serpme ağlarlayakalanarak laboratuara getirilmiştir. Her bir gram vücut ağõrlõğõ için 0,01 ml, %0,6lõkkolşisin solüsyonu balõklarõn karõn boşluğuna enjekte edilmiş ve balõk kesilmeden önce190 dakika beklenilmiştir. Metafaz incelemeleri ile O.angoraenõn 2n=50 kromozomasahip olduğu belirlenmiştir. Bunlarõn karyotiplerinin 7 metasentrik, 7 submetasentrik ve 11akrosentrik kromozom çiftinden (NF: 78) oluştuğu saptanmõştõr. dc.description.abstractIn this study, chromosome numbers and the standard karyotypic details for the Angoraloach, Orthrias angorae (Steindachner, 1897) (Fam: Balitoridae) from Kura-Aras riverbasin were ascertained. The fishs used in this study were caught with fishing nets from theKura-Aras river basin and taken to the laboratory. Fishes were injected intraperitoneally(i.p.) with doses of 0.01 ml/g body weight of 0.6 % solution of colchicine and left for 190minutes before sacrification. It was determined that O.angorae had 2n=50 chromosomesby metaphase investigation. Their karyotypes were determined as being composed of 7metacentric, 7 submetacentric and 11 acrocentric chromosome pairs with NF: 78 We wereunable to identify any sex-related chromosomes in these species.Key words : Kura-Aras Basin, Kars Stream, Orthrias angorae, Balitoridae, Karyotypeen_US
