In this study, cytotoxic effects of Capsaicin were investigated by the cytokinesis-block micronucleus assay (CBMN) on human peripheral lymphocytes in vitro. A significant increase in cytotoxicity was observed in all treatments of Capsaicin (80, 120, 160 µM) at 24 h compared with the negative control and mitomycin C (MMC, 0.5 µg/ml), which was used as a positive control. According to results of all doses, necrosis was increased, statistically and nuclear division index was decreased. Capsaicin caused more necrosis than mitomycin, which was used positive control. No connection was observed between necrosis and dose.en_US
