Bu çalışmada yeni bir tersinir katılma-parçalanma zincir transfer (RAFT) başlatıcısı kullanılarak stiren (St) RAFT polimerizasyonu gerçekleştirilerek graft kopolimerler sentezlendi. Bu amaçla polivinil alkol (PVA), potasyum hidroksit, karbon disülfür ve benzoil klorür türevleri reaksiyona sokularak yeni RAFT ajanları sentezlendi. Elde edilen RAFT ajanları kullanılarak çeşitli parametreler (başlatıcı, monomer miktarı ve zaman) değiştirilerek PVA-g-St graft kopolimerler sentezlendi. Graft kopolimerlerin molekül ağırlık dağılımları zamanla artmış ve buna bağlı olarak polidispersite üzerine etkisi aynı zamanda incelenmiştir. Ayrıca elde edilen RAFT ajan graft kopolimerlerin molekül ağırlıklarına göre reaksiyonu kontrol ettiği görülmüştür. Graft kopolimerler FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, GPC, DSC ve Elementel Analiz teknikleri kullanılarak karakterize edildi.Anahtar Kelimeler : Kontrollü Radikal Polimerizasyon, RAFT, Graft Kopolimer,PoliVinil Alkol
In this study, a new Reversible Addition-Fragmentation chain Transfer (RAFT) initiator is used polyvinyl alcohol. Polyvinyl-g-styrene graft copolymers were synthesized by performing RAFT polymerization. For this purpose, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), potassium hydroxide, carbon disulfide and derivatives of benzoyl chloride are reacted then new RAFT agent were synthesized. Obtained RAFT agent are used and different parameters (initiator, amount of monomer and time) are changed PVA-g-St graft copolymers were synthesized. Graft copolymers molecular weight distribution increased time to time and depend on that over the polydispersity effects are observed. In addition RAFT agents also obtained by looking at the molecular weight of the polymer has been found to control the reaction. Graft copolymers by FT-IR, 1H-NMR, 13C-NMR, GPC, DSC and elemental analysis were characterized using techniques.Key Words: Controlled Radical Polymerization, RAFT, Graft Copolymer, Polyvinly Alcoholen_US
