In this study, reevaluation of amniotic fluid index variance (increasement or decreasement) is performed following a rest on left side in addition to determination of two-dimension amniotic fluid volume, CRL (Crown Rump Length) and GS (Gestational Sac) values in all subjects before the rest in early gestational age. It is aimed to investigate if there is a correlation between positional change and amniotic fluid volume or gestational outcome or not. Sixty six voluntary women between age of 20-35 having singleton 6-10 weeks' pregnancy who consulted to Kafkas University Department of Obstetric and Gynecology are included in this prospective study. In conclusion, gestational sac diameter, gestational sac volume and gestational sac volume after resting on left side had positive correlation both between each other and gestational age in addition to CRL measurements. However, there was no correlation between gastational outcome and event of increasement or decreasement in gestational sac volume after resting on left side. It was determined that resting on left side did not increase gestational sac volume significantly (p>0,05). Similarly, there was no significant difference when the populations having increasement and decreasement in gestational sac volume after resting on left side were compared regarding abortion or c/s rate.In this study, reevaluation of amniotic fluid index variance (increasement or decreasement) is performed following a rest on left side in addition to determination of two-dimension amniotic fluid volume, CRL (Crown Rump Length) and GS (Gestational Sac) values in all subjects before the rest in early gestational age.
